Covid 19 Risk Assessment for Ilkley CC

Action taken by the club
People management and communications
1. The captain of teams will ascertain the health and fitness of all players prior to travelling to the venues.
2 The dressing rooms and the clubhouse will be closed. The toilets will have a circulation system, one in one out with signage.
3 The players from each team will sit on the either side of the patio area. It will be kept separate from any spectators who will sit on the own seats around the ground. Seats that are permanent will be divided into 2 metre sections with signage.
4. Signage relating to minimising the risk of COVID-19 will be displayed both inside the toilets and around the ground. The club will use a tannoy system to advise all present on the ground the measures the Club are taking and to advise all on the necessary measures spectators also need to undertake.
5 Volunteer training with the records will be made prior to the game. Coaches will maintain records of training attendance and continue to book nets via Club Secretary.
Buildings
6 All doors excluding fire doors will be kept open to circulate air in the corridors and toilets – this will be undertaken daily.
7 The corridor and toilets will have a one in one out system with floorings and signage to communicate this. Access to sanitisers will be made available on entry to the toilets and advice re hand washing displayed within the toilets.
8 Outside seating areas will be divided into 2 metre sections.
9 Wet weather plans include participants to stay in the cars, to shelter under umbrellas and or to wear waterproof tops and bottoms.
Social and hospitality areas
10. A Record sheet for all people attending the match including spectators will be completed by the Covid officer of the day. This will be dated and held for 21 days and then destroyed.
11 A one way system will operate within the bar area. Floored signage will indicate flow of the queue and two metre markings laid.
12 One person only serving with a preferred payment of contactless payments.
13. A full risk assessment of the use of the bar will be undertaken and staff working in the bar will be provided with appropriate PPE and guidance given on self-protection and protecting others.
14 The toilets and corridor will be deep cleaned before every game and cleaned frequently during the game.
15 The toilet will be cleaned every hour on the hour by the COVID-19 officer.
16 Door handles, toilet seats and taps will receive special cleaning treatment by the Covid 19 officer of the day.
Hygiene and cleaning
17 PPE materials has been purchased for effective cleaning and cleaners briefed.
18. The boiler is on for hot water, soap and disposable towels and bins are available in the toilet areas.
19 Hand sanitiser will be provided in areas such as the toilet, the queue for the toilets and in the players waiting area on the patio.
20 Hand wipes and hand sanitiser will be available for use in the hygiene breaks every 20 minutes.
Section 2 Preparing your buildings
1 To reduce the risk of legionnaires disease all taps in the building will be run for five minutes prior to them being used for any other reasons – this will be undertaken daily
2 Gas, electric and fire checks -all have taken place.
3 The groundsmen are working hard on the pitch and the outfield to make it safe.
Section 3 First aid
1 The first aid kits are to be restocked and accessible during all activities to all.
2 First Aiders have read the St John’s ambulance first aid provision regarding Covid 19.
3 We do not have a defibrillator on site.
Section 4 Preparing your Ground
1 The groundsmen have done safety checks on machinery, the site screens and the covers.
2 The pitch and outfields have been checked and repaired of any damage.
3 All surfaces have been checked and the water regime adjusted for lack of rainfall.
